Display Bridal Shower, West Orange, NJ

Have you heard about the new, green, trend in bridal showers? It’s called a Display Shower. You ask your guests to bring their gifts unwrapped so they can be put out on display. By eliminating the wrapping paper and ribbon you reduce the amount of trash generated by the event. When the guests arrive, the gifts are taken out of their boxes and displayed for everyone to see. You can assign members of the bridal party to do this, or if you'd rather have your guests enjoy themselves and not spend the day working, hire Juliet Events do it for you. It helps to have small place cards ready with the name of each guest written on them. Attach this card to each gift you display. A place setting of china can be displayed as it would be set at the table, complete with flat ware, glasses and any other gifts that work with the grouping. Display all kitchen items together, tabletop items in another grouping and bed and bath together in another grouping. Remember to stack gifts creatively using boxes or other gifts to create levels. Ribbon or rose petals can add extra color. It takes just a little more planning and effort on the day of the shower but the gifts look beautiful when displayed and no one has to sit through the endless unwrapping, oohing and aahing over each gift. The best part, it leaves more time for socializing with your family and friends. Here are some photos from Nicole's recent Display Shower.
